We Made It Through Another Weekend

There wasn't nearly the excitement this weekend that there was last weekend.  You can tell by looking at the number of pictures I took...Only 70 - compared to the over 200 I took last weekend...

Friday, I ran out of baking soda.  If you knew how much I loved the stuff, you would understand what a big deal this is.  Notice I buy it in 2 lb. quantities.  : )  If you have not unleashed the powers of baking soda in your home, I feel for you.  Seriously.  It's amazing.

Also on Friday, I discovered Mod Podge.  Now...it's not that I hadn't heard of it before, I just had never used it...I've had the jar of it in my basement since before I met Gordon. (over 10 years ago)  Oh wow...was I missing out!!  I always knew I liked decoupage...I just didn't know how much, until now!!  I had a little project in mind for GT's room...and it turned out perfectly!!

Saturday, GT spent the day dressed as a pirate...

Don't mind the BIG mess behind him.
...that kind of takes away from the picture a little bit.
...and I spent the day catching up around the house...I did things a little differently this time when making my list of stuff that needed to get done...I made a list of things that HAD to be done and then I made a list of BONUS things...  I tackled my list pretty good and got most everything done.  There really is nothing like a sense of accomplishment.  Did I mention I was up until 5 in the morning finishing this little guy?

Sunday, we celebrated the baptism and 1st birthday for our friend, Carmen.

Goofing off during church...there' just something about a Catholic church
that puts ants in my pants...

The boys and their daughters...
All in all, it was a great low-key weekend.  After all of the Easter excitement (which I have yet to finish blogging about) it was nice to have a weekend to catch up.

So...what'd you do this past weekend???
