Wowee!! Wowza!! What a Weekend!!!

Let me start by saying...that I have had the most incredible weekend!!!

Friday, the weather was absolutely incredible.  I'll spare you the details of the beginning of the day...trust me, you'll thank me.  It included a trip to the Dr.'s for Miss V.  Not fun...Everything is OK now - but she had me worried.  So anyway, Friday - I had to work for part of the day, but when I got off of work, I met Gordon at the park with the kids.  The playground was packed!!  I guess 70 degree weather in January gets everyone out of the house!  That evening GT was able to get a little time in on his scooter.  It's too hard not to repeat - we are having seriously incredible weather.  I'm sure we'll pay for it yet...

Saturday, Gordon headed off to work early while the kids and I relaxed to a few Saturday morning cartoons - Looney Tunes Style - Good Old Fashioned Merrie Melodies - we enjoyed ourselves while we ate some breakfast and got ready to head to Mimi's for a visit.  We headed to Mimi's around noon (for those of us just joining us, Mimi = Wanda = Gordon's Mom = The Most Incredible Mother-in-Law, EVER).   We were able to spend a couple of hours with her before he had to head back home for a little nap before that evening's festivities.

As I told you about in my earlier post, Saturday night, GT participated in a Fun Run at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine in Belleville, IL.  We drove to meet my mom at her house in South County for the drive to Illinois, flanked with an incredible sunset on one side and a blazing full moon on the other.  It was too beautiful not to snap a picture of.  Besides...I knew you guys would want to see what I was talking about...

Yes, both of these pictures were taken with my cell phone, as I was driving...
and while I was being VERY careful.  Is that an oxymoron??? (Maybe a paradoxical oxymoron?)
We had a great time at the Fun Run.  We scored some awesome headband ear warmers - I've been wanting a pair of those - and enjoyed each other's company as we strolled through the wonderful light display that the Shrine puts on year after year.  I have such wonderful memories of the Shrine as a child.  I enjoyed going back there as an adult, sharing the experience with GT and seeing how the place had changed.

Waiting to Start
Sunday, the day was spent at home...those are my 'favoritest' days.  LOL.  There is really nothing I love more than the days that we get to spend at home together as a family enjoying each other.  Our day began with a little Bubble Wrap Pop-A-Thon...GT had a BLAST!!

Then...it was time for a little Light sabre Battle with Dada...

All the while Little Missy was enjoying playing with her toys...

I absolutely LOVE this picture of her...drooly chin & ALL!!
We ended the day with bath time...GT actually took two baths, because he wanted to take one by himself, but then decided when I was running Vadyn's bath that he wanted to join her...

I'm glad he did, or I wouldn't have gotten this ADORABLE picture!!
Our weekend ended kind of the same way as it began.  We all sat down in the Living Room to reminisce on the wonderful weekend that we had and to talk about what is coming up this week.

They may or may not have been watching Looney Tunes in this picture...  ; )
Before I let you go, I wanted to be sure to update you on my nail growing tribulation...I have progress to show you!!

While these are definitely not 'After' pictures...you can see the 'Before' pictures here...

I call this progress.  PTL!!!
